Lithuania in 1940 and 1941
The exhibition shows the international situation of Lithuania in the 1930s, and discloses how Moscow, aided by local collaborators, destroyed Lithuania’s independence and the system of government, how communist ideology was implemented, and how people were deported and imprisoned.

The partisan war between 1944 and 1953
The exhibition devoted to the nine-year-long partisan struggle for the reestablishment of the independent state shows the territorial structure of partisan units and the military organisation, as well as the everyday lives of the freedom fighters.

An unequal fight
The well-documented exhibition demonstrates who piloted the establishment of Soviet rule in Lithuania, and which agencies suppressed the armed anti-Soviet resistance.
